Establishment

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Samoa was established under the Telecommunications Services Act 1999 with its goal to lead the ICT industry in the country and also the region in broadband communications.

The Ministry also derives its authority and performs its responsibilities under the following legislations and cabinet directives:

Minister & Chief Executive Officer Offices

The Ministry is led and managed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) under the authority of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Afioga Agaseata Tanuvasa Valelio Peto.
