Honourable Mau’u Siaosi Puepuemai is a dedicated servant and influential leader in Samoa, currently serving as the Minister for Communications and Information Technology. Elected to Parliament in the 2021 General Election, he has quickly established himself as a key figure in the Samoan government. On 15 January 2025, he was appointed by the Prime Minister, succeeding the Honourable Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo.

 Mau’u hails from the beautiful region of Vaa o Fonoti, Samoa where he holds the esteemed Chief title of Mau’u. His leadership is characterized by a deep commitment to his community and a passion for fostering economic growth and innovation.

Before entering politics, Honourable Mau’u was renowned for his entrepreneurial spirit in the food and rental industry, particularly for pioneering a successful business in pizza and the traditional beverage, ava Samoa. His contributions have not only created jobs but have also enriched the local culture and culinary landscape.

 A faithful Christian, Honourable Mauu serves as a Deacon in the EFKS Fagaloa Community, and Elder Deacon in the Matagaluega Apia i Sasae where he is known for his unwavering commitment to his faith and community service. Hon Mau’u is also a member of the EFKS Council and serves as a member of Komiti o Feau Eseese for EFKS. His values of integrity, service, and dedication guide his work in Parliament, where he strives to enhance communication and technology infrastructure in Samoa, ensuring that all citizens have access to the digital world. Honourable Mau’u is also responsible for the Office of the Regulator, Samoa Postal and the Legislative Assembly.
