The Information Communication Technology (ICT) Secretariat was established in early 2000 to fulfill the objectives of the National ICT Strategy and its vision “ICT for All.” It is a semi autonomous body working alongside MCIT to implement projects in line with the ICT strategy and represent Samoa at regional and international ICT Workshops. The Secretariat staff are experts in ICT and committed to developing ICT in Samoa, giving Samoans access to, awareness of and skills in ICT. The division provides secretariat functions for the Digital Transformation Council which is chaired by the Prime Minister.
